This version of the ASFV PCR kit includes a built-in exogenous internal control, a synthetic reference sequence added to every reaction, that helps validate whether a negative result is a true negative or the result of a failed extraction or inhibited reaction. This added layer of quality control is especially valuable for high-stakes testing like ASF surveillance, where a false negative could allow an outbreak to spread undetected. Same broad sample compatibility as the standard kit: blood, tissue, processed meat, and environmental samples. Requires a nucleic acid extractor and thermal cycler.
